Today I thought I would talk about another gluten free brand that I eat quite a lot. Udi's is a great brand, especially for their bread products which taste the most similar to real bread in my opinion. Here are some of my favorite products from left to right:
Whole Grain Bread: I mainly use this bread to make sandwiches. The only thing that I have noticed with all their bread products is that it tastes much better when toasted, so I will toast up two pieces of bread and make sandwiches for my lunches. It is also good for breakfast as toast.
Hamburger and Hot Dog Buns: Like the bread, both of these taste better when toasted. I have tried quite a few different gluten free brands when it comes to hamburger and hot dog buns and these are by far the best taste wise. My only complaint with these (and other gf) buns is that there is a lot of bread and it is very heavy; I usually can only get through half of whatever it is I am eating before I ditch the bun altogether.
Plain Bagels: I really love bagels and it was hard to give up when I went gluten free, luckily I found these not too long after I switched my diet and I am happy that I did. These are really great toasted for breakfast with dairy free cream cheese or as a sandwich for lunch.
Pizza Crust: This is my most used product from Udi's by far. I use one at least once a week whether I am making a vegan pizza or toasting up like a pita to eat with with hummus these are constantly in my freezer.
Peanut Butter & Coconut Cookies: These are a relatively new product from Udi's and they are quite good. I have said in previous posts that I love anything with peanut butter and coconut too so it was a no brainer to try these and are good as a snack in lunches.
Cinnamon Buns: These are also a good treat every once and a while. What I find great about these is that the icing is dairy free so I do not need to worry about taking lactose pills or getting sick when I have them. Like some of the other bread products, I do find it difficult to finish a whole one by myself so I do freeze these and take out one at a time.
Cherry and Walnut Granola Clusters: I am not sure if these are in Canada yet, I have not looked but I have tried this granola in the states and thought that it was really good. I just ate the clusters as a snack on the go, but this would also be good used as overnight oats for breakfast too!
So those are my favorite products by Udi's. What's your favorite product from this brand? Do you have recommendations for other gluten free brands that you enjoy?
