Our last day in Hawaii was bitter sweet, luckily though we didn't leave until 10:30 that night so we were able to enjoy a full day before we left.
We had to be out of our room by 10 in the morning so we packed up the car and headed out to Kapolei to visit the Disney Resort and the three lagoons surrounding it, and it was beautiful. The Disney Resort was something that I really wanted to see, and it did not disappoint. The pool area was something else..I have always been in the mindset that if you have an ocean right there why would you choose to sit by a pool instead but I would definitely have hung out by this one. They have a lazy river, infinity pools, water slides and because it is so large there were lots of beach chairs surrounding the pool. The lagoons around the resort were also really cool, because they are more sheltered the water is really calm.It is definitely not as touristy in this area and I really enjoyed that.
After exploring Kapolei, we headed back into Honolulu to do some last minute shopping at Ala Moana and then went back to Waikiki to watch the sunset for the last time.
There is nothing like seeing the sunset over the beach in my opinion.. it is stunning and it really makes you stop and appreciate life. It also made me thankful for the opportunities that I have been given. A lot of people mention how lucky it is that I get to go to Hawaii often and while I absolutely agree, I don't take advantage or take any of it for granted. It is an amazing feeling to get to spend 10 days in Hawaii and it was such a fantastic trip.
I hope that you all enjoyed my Hawaii blogs, I enjoyed writing and sharing my holiday with you and thank you again for all the support!!
