Day 4 in Hawaii was Dana's Birthday! We started off the day at Dukes for brunch which is tradition. It was very good there was gf options so I left full which was a bonus! We then headed to a local farmers market where there was lots of fresh fruits, vegetables and macadamia nuts to choose from. In the afternoon we headed to Kaliua and went to Lanikai Beach which has been rated one of the best beaches in the world on numerous occasions. It is a remote beach that is quite small but the sand and warm waters are worth seeing. Once we spent a couple hours at the beach we went to a local bloc party that was held outside the Whole Foods in Kaliua. There were craft and food stalls and they even had snow made so the Hawaiian kids could play in it which to us was pretty funny considering, but they looked like they were having a great time! There was a band playing called Streetlight Cadence while we were there and they were really good!
It was a great day to celebrate Dana's birthday, hard to believe she is already 18. (I feel old!)
